  • 9:30 A.M. – Start hiking: Midono-juku → Nojiri-juku

Day 1

  • Walk the beautifully preserved Nakasendo Trail from Magome to Tsumago, passing through peaceful forests, stone paths, and traditional post towns once traveled by samurai and merchants during Japan’s Edo period. Day 2

  • Hike the quieter section from Nagiso to Nojiri, where hidden countryside villages, riverside scenery, and cedar forests offer a slower and more authentic walking experience far from crowded tourist areas. Along the way, discover local culture and daily life in Japan’s rural heartland.

Day 3

  • Explore the historic trail between Yabuhara and Narai, one of the most scenic stretches of the Nakasendo. Cross mountain paths once used by travelers centuries ago before arriving in Narai-juku, a beautifully preserved post town famous for its wooden streets, traditional inns, and Edo-period charm.
